This tool is specifically designed to remove carbon buildup in the gas block and on the gas piston of the HK416 and, since they share the same piston, it will also work with the HK417, G36, SL8 and MR Series rifles. 
The tool will fit in most grips that have a storage compartment including the HK V3, V4,V7 and the HK adaptive battle grip.
